Great experience and great friendships that happen here. A typical day at work here is coming in and getting all patients ready for their day with us. Giving them breakfast taking them for walks administering medications as indicated on their charts or as Doctors have ordered. Once the Doctors arrive we inform them of any changes with our patients and get ready for the Doctors to examine them. Help with vital signs, samples (blood, urine ect) running the samples in the lab for the Doctors to review before procedures or to see what could be making the patient ill. Preparing surgery or dental area as determined by the Doctor, taking x-rays, or any other testing that may be necessary for the patients health. Assisting the Doctor in surgery and maintaining the patient during these procedures. Calling the clients when the patient is awake and informing them of how the procedure went, letting them know about medications to go home with the patient and how to administer them. Also letting the client know of what to expect during the recovery process and when they will need to bring the patient back for check up or if they feel their patient is not getting any better.
