A typical day at work requires ability to handle high levels of stress at times, keeping a positive attitude at all times, and understanding the patients' needs. I've learned to not take life for granted and to be thankful for all things in my life. Just as any place you work, you have co-workers that are difficult to get along with, however, if you are good to everyone and respect them, you can get along with anyone. The most enjoyable part of my job is hearing some of the things patients have endured, and at the same time being blessed by their stories. The hardest part is when a patient passes away and we no longer see them once we have become friends with them.
