We cried we laught we got silly and we always had eachothers backs. hardest part of cours babies die or been beaten or a family member passed on. we shake it – more... off hug eachother and the most enjoyable part of this job is that we will all be together for eachother and do it again on the next shift – less

Volunteer at the Hospital
Data Entry of New Patients (Current Employee), EverywhereAugust 22, 2013
Everyday I go into volunteer at the hospital I am always excited to see everyone there. I learned to always work hard for what u want. and I have experienced so much stuff there its amazing on what I can do now. I am a very hard worker and I am always working over times on days I do not need to. I am a over achiever that likes to get things done fast – more... and quick! I am a very sweet and intelligent girl who loves to learn things new everyday. And I have a high degree of Intelligence and responsibility. I am most defiantly a leader not a follower. and I am very mature for my age, I am 20 years old. I am always open to anything to do at work And I am looking for a job that will help me get into college and life. I will be going to College next year to be a nurse. – less

Registrar (Former Employee), North Richland Hills, TXJune 5, 2013
Pros: interactio with patients
Cons: short breaks sometimes none.
I loved my job there, learned it fairly quick but did not like management too much. Nothing personal but they were not very helpful when one needed some help on fixing an issue. I felt as if I did my part but they didn't at times. When there was an issue in our department they sort of just ignored it and at times got frustrated when we talked to the – more... about it. I absolutely loved what I did, I love working with patients and at a fast pace but too much drama was going on with both co-workers and management. I learned so much from working there, I learned a lot about insurances, Medicaid and Medicare. The most enjoyable part of my job was probably helping others and the interaction with the patients. – less

Great place to work
Coordinator (Current Employee), North Richland Hills, TXMarch 7, 2013
Pros: working with minimal supervision, payroll deduction for cafeteria and giftshop purchases, 401k match, flexibility
Cons: short lunch breaks, insecurity
A typical day at work requires ability to handle high levels of stress at times, keeping a positive attitude at all times, and understanding the patients' needs. I've learned to not take life for granted and to be thankful for all things in my life. Just as any place you work, you have co-workers that are difficult to get along with, however, if you – more... are good to everyone and respect them, you can get along with anyone. The most enjoyable part of my job is hearing some of the things patients have endured, and at the same time being blessed by their stories. The hardest part is when a patient passes away and we no longer see them once we have become friends with them. – less

Dont work here if you are looking to advance your medical career
Phlebotomist (Current Employee), North Richland Hills, TXNovember 18, 2012
Pros: nice people, hours are ok
Cons: low census all the time so you get sent home, pay is ridiculosly low, no high raises. low budget hospital with high standards.
Not a good hospital as far as helping you achieve your career goals. A lot of competition up here. Pay sucks and hours consistently get cut. Management is so confused its ridiculous. Big turnover rate in the lab for phlebotomist.

Poorly managed facility.
Clinical Dietitian (Former Employee), North Richland Hills, TXOctober 3, 2012
Pros: free lunches - although they were reduced under that manager's direction.
Cons: excessive working hours without regard for adequate breaks.
Management allowed FNS Dept manager to harrass and bully the whole department for 18 months before firing him, despite multiple accusations. Many employees were layed off, asked to resign, or fired due to the situation created by this manager.
All incidences and reports were forwarded to the HR Manager, CEO, and COO without response or resolution. The – more... mis-treatment of multiple employees qualified them to have the EEOC intervene, however those employees could not afford to lose their jobs, so nothing proceeded. That is a direct reflection on upper-management. – less

Challanging, yet educational environment that provided excellent focus on patient care.
ER Registrar (Former Employee), North Richland Hills, TXMay 30, 2012
Pros: meeting new people
Cons: very short lunch breaks
I learned excellent patient care while working at North Hills Hospital. The hardest part of the job was to know that at any point and time someone may pass away. I enjoy bringing comfort to people but at the end there is no amount of comfort that helps families suffering.
The most enjoyable part was working with the Dr.'s and nurses who really provided – more... support and education. – less
