Healthy environment and friendly co workers.
Student Financial Services (Current Employee), Lynn, MAMay 12, 2014
I have learned to ask a question when I didn't understand instructions clearly.

My co workers are always friendly and approachable.

The most enjoyable part of the job is having fun and not having pressure at all.

Digital Design Studio Lab Assistant (Current Employee), Lynn, MAApril 2, 2014
Pros: flexible hours to accommodate schedule
Cons: part time and temporary position
You might learn something new by helping another student.
You may also be challenged if you can't help a student figure a problem out with one of the programs, but there's always google to find a tutorial!

Productive and fun work place
Office Assistant (Current Employee), Danvers, MAAugust 29, 2013
Pros: flexible schedule, comfortable work atmosphere.
Cons: can't think of any
I absolutely loved working at NSCC, I worked there part time as a work study while going to school full time and juggling being a single mom. The schedule was great and very flexible. I worked both in the student lounge organizing activities and checking IDs, As well as working in the student life office handling light office work, answering phones, – more... typing up documents as needed, greeting people as they came into the office and making student and staff IDs.
The most enjoyable part of my job was my co-works and management team. – less

This was a part time position I held while finishing my degree. It was great for any student. I would not recommend it as a full time career.

Great job for a student
Computer Lab Assistant (Current Employee), Lynn, MAMarch 12, 2013
Pros: great ennviroment
Cons: upper management is detached
a typical day at work is not very difficult. your duties are very cut and dry in the positon. however the biggest issue is that upper management does not like to communicate with the employees who interact with the students. The current academic lab supervisor is great and has turned things around. however the higher ups do not actually realize what – more... happens in the computer labs care more about their apperances than the actual services provided. however luckily they tend to be more of mild nuisance and dont impact the day to day work. – less

Adjunct Faculty / Program Coordinator (Former Employee), Danvers, MAAugust 28, 2012
Pros: students, support, compensation
Cons: the same courses over and over can get old...
On the whole, the students were great and it was always nice to see hear from them later. Facilities were good and my management was always supportive. Compensation was high, due to the union -- and that was a problem once or twice when they wanted to strike for even more. (I'm not a fan of that, and would cross the line to finish the course for my – more... students.) After sixteen years it did get a little old due to repetition, but a few new courses here and there helped cut the potential boredom. If I still lived in the area I would continue to teach there. – less

Amazing job to have!
Office Assistant/Tutor (Former Employee), Danvers, MAJuly 5, 2012
I loved having this job. I worked for one of my professors as a tutor in Economics. I really enjoyed teaching others as this class was my strongest. I researched economy based facts and share them will my fellow students. Working for the school was a great experience!
