Position Description:
The Clinical supervisor is a masters level mental health professional who serves as the primary therapist and contact for all in-home clients. The Clinical supervisor develops treatment methodologies and ensures the effective implementation of all in-home treatment and programming for clients on their caseload. The Clinical supervisor is responsible for the ongoing training and management of direct care staff and the content and implementation of the in-home treatment plans. The Clinical supervisor is responsible for adhering to professional and legal requirements and principles as well as demonstrating sound professional judgment at all times. The Clinical supervisor is responsible for ensuring that each client on their caseload receives at least the minimum standard of care according to program standards and principles of “good practice.”

Specific Duties:

  • Initiate contact with new referrals and/or referral sources in a timely manner – HBTS/PASS, least according to program standards; individual counseling referrals no later than 48 hours after assignment.
  • Provide direct instruction, training, and support to client, family and directcare staff, members during regularly scheduled home and community based visits.
  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively as part of a clinical team.
  • Effectively manage caseload, prepare and submit all required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Review and evaluate the performance of the direct care staff member to ensure the proper implementation of treatment plan.
  • Ensure that all treatment methodologies are evidence based and reflect the most recent research findings.
  • Be knowledgeable and adhere to all program standards of DHS and CEDARR Services.
  • Adhere to all privacy practices HIPPA, confidentially and mandated reporting responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate must have a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or related field.
  • Knowledge and skill in early childhood mental health and early childhood development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capacity to work independently in families’ homes, the community, and in classrooms.
  • Respect for cultural, ethnic and linguistic diversity.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and community providers.
  • Ability to use reflection to examine clinical work with young children and families.
  • Must be license eligible, licensed candidates preferred (LICSW, LMHC)
  • Five (5) years direct experience in providing family-based services
  • Minimum one (1) year experience at a supervisory level
