The College of Science at Northeastern University seeks a manager for its electron microscope facilities, with primary responsibility for a JEOL 2010F S/Field Emission TEM equipped with computer-controlled CCD and a Hitachi 4800 SEM with EDAX. Expansion of the facility is anticipated within the next 5 years. The manager will oversee operation, maintenance, and scheduling of the instruments as well as training of students, faculty, and external researchers. Competitive applicants will have a MS or PhD in Materials, Physical Sciences or a related engineering field, a strong background in TEM microcharacterizaton, and 3 years post-graduate experience. Experience with vacuum technology, electronics, and computers as well as strong interpersonal and communications skills are essential.
