Working at Northrop Grumman

I applied for an opening in Lakewood, Washington a few months ago and my submission status is still “Under Consideration by Recruiter”. So I am curious was I rejected and the hiring manager neglected to update the status or is the company still looking for more applicants? The application is still accepting submissions but the posting no longer shows up on the job search.

Does anyone have any idea on what a reasonable salary for a Junior Simulations Developer (Java/C++) should be in Orlando, FL ? I'm in line for this gig at Northrop (had interview today). I'm currently a Jr. Java Engineer, the salary for general software dev. is pretty easy to find.... Not so for simulations development... Thanks...

Do you work at Northrop Grumman? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview? Any advice for someone trying to get in?

Ok so I got an interview through a contact. Interview went very well, I really liked the managers and hr because they treated me with respect during the interviews. One week later i was told by HR that they are going to proceed with an offer and that i would get it within 1 week. It's been about 3-4 weeks and every time I check back with them they say they are meeting with their people and will get back with me the same day or next after the offer discussions. Has anyone been through the same process during the offer discussions? I know it can be hard to get certain high executives together because of schedule constraints. Is this normal or weird for how long its taking to receive the offer? Thanks!

I have a question about background check. for example if someone has been arrested and the charges have been dropped later on, could this be one of the deciding factors for getting an employment offer assuming every other aspect went great?

I recently had some very strange dealings with Northrup Grumman (Xetron) in Cincinnati. They are trying to fill an INFOSEC role that requires a high degree of skill and experience along with the highest clearances to boot. After several email exchanges and phone conversations with a contract recruiter (not even an NG employee), it became very clear that these guys didn't understand the protocol. They bumbled along and eventually ticked me off to the point where I told them off. Working INFOSEC is spooky enough. At least they should have recruiters that understand the sensitivities. Anyone else encounter incompetent recruiters at Northrup Grumman?

Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Northrop Grumman? Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers? What is a typical day in the life of an employee at Northrop Grumman?

I interviewed over a month ago for a Network Engineer 2 position and the hiring manager seemed to really like me and my resume. My interview was so relaxed and more like a forum discussion between me and his peers. My question is when I go to the NGC website to check my status it still states "Interview" even after a entire month and I haven't heard anything from the recruiter. Has any one ever experienced this??? What is the status of a person that was selected on the website?? Can anyone give me advice??
