I applied for an opening in Lakewood, Washington a few months ago and my submission status is still “Under Consideration by Recruiter”. So I am curious was I rejected and the hiring manager neglected to update the status or is the company still looking for more applicants? The application is still accepting submissions but the posting no longer shows up on the job search.

It's always hard to know what to expect when going in for that interview -- and preparation can make all the difference. What is the interview process like at Northrop Grumman? Any advice on striking the right note?

I've sent at least 100 online applications to Northrup. I have yet to get a response. What does it take?

Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Northrop Grumman? Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers? What is a typical day in the life of an employee at Northrop Grumman?

I have a formal and written offer for a NG position but the position is contingent on NG winning a contract. I'm really excited as I have been searching for a long time but I am a little confused about what to do. There's still a good chance I might not get this job even after accepting the offer due to the contract not being awarded to NG. They won't find out if they get the contract for months. Here's the problem. I have about a week or to accept or reject the offer. If I accept the offer does this mean it would be unwise to continue job hunting? I don't want to shutout my potential employment opportunities by not searching for a few months waiting on a contract to be awarded. However, I don't want to do the wrong thing because I accepted the job offer. There's a possibility I might get contacted about another NG position where I don't have to wait for months or a contract to be awarded. This wouldn't even be an issue if the job was not contingent on the contract. I would have happily accepted the offer and stop all job seeking.

Ok so I got an interview through a contact. Interview went very well, I really liked the managers and hr because they treated me with respect during the interviews. One week later i was told by HR that they are going to proceed with an offer and that i would get it within 1 week. It's been about 3-4 weeks and every time I check back with them they say they are meeting with their people and will get back with me the same day or next after the offer discussions. Has anyone been through the same process during the offer discussions? I know it can be hard to get certain high executives together because of schedule constraints. Is this normal or weird for how long its taking to receive the offer? Thanks!

Hello... I have been hired by Northrop a few months ago. My Axciom background check is complete but the sp86 check seems to not be going anywhere and my HR person cannot give me any clue as to whats going on with it. No one on any of the many pages has been contacted yet to my knowledge. How long does this usually take ? Its been over two months now..... Ive taken another position in the meantime because Im so concerned about our financial situation if this goes on too much longer. I really want to work for NGC and know I'll have the unpleasant task of having to quit this other job when my clearance goes through. If any NGC corporate people read this board, can you give me a clue as to how long the sp86 check usually takes ? Did I make a mistake by taking this temp job ? I havent started yet, so I can cancel if there is a problem. Thank in advance ! EM Ft. Lauderdale, FL

Just wanted to post a quick message to all Northrop Grumman employees to gauge the work environment at McLean, VA. If you can specifically discuss experience as an intel analyst that would be even better.

I would like to apply for a job at Northrop Grumman shipbuilding in Newport News, and am concerned about the drug test. I would pass a urinalysis, but a hair test would be cause for concern due to long detection times and even longer hair. I understand drug use is illegal and intolerable, I no longer use nor need comments on that matter. But if anyone could tell me what kind of test Northrop Grumman uses for new hires it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
