Helping students learn about zoology was one of the most rewarding things I've ever done. I miss this job dearly. Sitting and watching students during classes could get boring but great working atmosphere.
Graduate Assistant - School of Business (Current Employee) – Maryville, MO – November 2, 2017
I loved my time at Northwest Missouri State University, both as a student and a graduate assistant. The faculty and staff were very helpful and committed to each student's success, as their mission statement states. I would recommend it to any prospective student and employee.
An awesome team with chances to improve your overall skillset
Social Media Intern (Former Employee) – Maryville, MO – June 18, 2017
Working for Northwest as a Social Media Intern in the athletics department was great because I could represent the brand Northwest prides itself on while also highlighting our athletes in particular. The sports teams at the university worked so hard day in and day out to compete at a high level, and it was out job in the media department to showcase their achievements. It was a fun job and the reward of seeing their faces light up when they saw themselves as rockstars was an awesome feeling. I learned a lot about Photoshop through this job and a little bit about website coding. The best part was the willingness of my boss to show me anything I wanted to learn!
No matter who you are, or what you do, you will always feel welcome. The entire town supports the university, which makes the student experience that much better. When they say you are part of their Bearcat family, they truly mean it.
