Support Staff (Former Employee) – Bloomington, MN – February 1, 2017
The chosen leadership in each of the departments are clueless and utterly useless. Recently, in order to make the school appear profitable, the newest president froze the small salaries and cut the benefits of the support staff, but managed to still pay himself quite well. The institution is dedicated to making superficial cosmetic changes, but at its core, it is deeply flawed and not destined for long term success. Many employees have been fired, 'urged' to retire, or saw the coming disaster and left on their own, however, the newly unfilled position duties have been dumped on existing employees without increasing their pay to match. Many of the employees still working are ridiculously unhelpful and/or lazy, especially those in the Student Affairs and Financial Aid offices. The chaos and stress of the faculty and staff is apparent and the workplace culture is unpleasant. Many of the students are also unhappy due to constant tuition increases with no meaningful program or facility improvements. They seem tired of being defrauded.
plenty of parking
unhelpful department heads, unhappy students, stressed faculty/staff
