There has been a lot of turnover in my department due mostly to the fact that poor behavior of staff who have longevity here is acceptable and management turns their back on it because they rely on these people’s knowledge.and experience. They’re disrespectful, condescending and outright rude behavior towards coworkers has caused new hires to leave after just a few weeks on the job. And those people were seasoned so it’s not like they weren’t aware of the reputation that nurses have of eating their young. The only positive thing is that there are some super nice coworkers to help balance things out. Too bad they’re mostly travelers.
