Fun and Up-Beat Work Environment
Student Assistant for Athletic Academic Services (Current Employee), Fort Lauderdale, FLJune 11, 2013
Every day is something new and exciting. If you do not like routine, boring work, this is a great environment for you. The skills you use in the office are implemented each day to help with projects, Power Points, or student success fairs. This is a very hands-on position involving a majority of communication skills.

Assistant Volleyball Coach (Former Employee), Fort Lauderdale, FLMay 27, 2013
Pros: benefits, travel, great location
Cons: unorganized management
Great campus, lots of resources available. Friendly staff. Management was unorganized but was able to successfully function due to strong work ethic. Would not recommend for those who do not do well with indirect supervision.

I loved learning psychiatric pharmacy
Psychiatric Pharmacy Resident (Former Employee), Fort Lauderdale, FLApril 11, 2013
Pros: learning and teaching
Cons: residents don't make much money and work long hours
I would go into the Miami VAMC and make rounds with the treatment team and monitor the drug therapy on the patients. I would talk to the patients and find out how they were doing on the medication prescriped. I loved working with the other residents.I loved teaching the Nova Southeastern University pharmacy students.

Admissions Management Representative I (Former Employee), Fort Lauderdale, FLMarch 26, 2013
Pros: benefits
Cons: pay
The day's work is very heavy. They expect you to prioritize your job over everything, even your family. There were times when overtime was mandated, and if not, your benefits were taken. There was no job security. I went to work feeling as though every day could be my last. The tuition waiver is great, but if you cannot pass your classes with at least – more... a C, your benefits would be taken. The co-workers are the best, but the management is very ignorant to the day-to-day functions of the various departments. The most enjoyable part was my co-workers. – less

An excellent institution for learning!
Student Clinician (Former Employee), Fort Lauderdale, FLNovember 8, 2012
Pros: flexibility for a busy schedule
Cons: professors and materials are not easily tangable
My experience at Nova Southeastern was an incredible one. I enjoyed the ease of online learning that complemented my busy schedule. For the most part you had access to all the necessary amenities that the school offered that pertained to academics such as an online library with a wealth of resources, help desk for navigating through the system sufficiently – more... and access to professors via email when necessary. I also enjoyed meeting people from various parts of the world. I believe the hardest part of completing a degree online is the immediate access to professors and certain materials when needed and not having face to face interaction for learning certain subject matters. – less
