To design, develop and deploy new technologies enabling company growth.
BASELINE JOB EXPECTATIONS
Design and develop new equipment and systems for use in the company’s products
Prepare and deliver oral and written reports to document progress.
Evaluate the performance of the new systems by developing appropriate testing methods
Analyze performance data to identify trends in company products and equipment.
Train technicians and customers in the use of company products.
Respond to requests for engineering information from inside and outside the company.
Interact professionally with R&E Group members and all company stakeholders.
Job Specific Knowledge
Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required; working knowledge of CAD/CAE or FEA software; Matlab or equivalent computational software preferred.
Carry out other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
BA/BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent field of study required.
Five (5) years of engineering experience required. Electrical power distribution systems experience preferred.
Professional Engineer’s license or EIT certificate preferred.
Ability and willingness to travel to field operation and prototype deployment sites when necessary.
Provide personal transportation for meetings and job visits away from the office; reimbursed.
