Two days a week my day would start at noon and I would sort through the new book arrivals and mark them for the Literacy First program.
That children are sadly very behind in reading, but were just pushed through to the next grade. Doing a disservice to the child in question.
My managers were hard workers who wanted to really help the kids. They were also patent when I had a new task to complete or was requested to be elsewhere by the office.
I had no co-workers.
The hardest part was seeing the kids being pushed through without having the skills they needed for the next level.
the most enjoyable part was seeing them finally being able to grasp the concept or skill they needed, but and eluded them for so long.
