Director, ADM Sales Support Solution Architect (Current Employee) – Remote – March 30, 2016
Senior management is very professional and caring. Work, Life balance is excellent. Highly collaborative environment. Compensation and annual bonus is at par to each position and company performance. Company has been around since 1965 and growing thru M&A and today is part of a global Japanese company, NTT.
Great senior management. Excellent opportunities to work on diverse projects.
Executive Administrative Assistant (Current Employee) – off-site Washington DC – December 28, 2015
It is a very busy company acquiring many companies to enhance their diversity. Co-workers are amazing, dedicated people and we shared many lessons of what worked best to enhance our positions. Working at the government, you are very much part of the mission which allows you to feel the dedication to the mission at hand.
It is very fast pace and demanding and I felt very useful and acquired many extra projects because of my personality and skill set.
Management not supportive or interacted with all employees
Sr. Consultant/IT Compliance Dept. w/Kynect (Former Employee) – Frankfort, KY – August 16, 2016
The work day was usually a normal day, but when there were issues they were not acted upon immediately. Co-workers were in most cases young, fresh out of college and inexperienced (first timers). I learned a great deal about the regulations for Health Care. The hardest part of the job was proper guidance from an experienced or seasoned person. The most enjoyable part of the job was working with persons who were on the job for the right reasons.
NTT Data ensures all employees are total of aware of all company and client regulations that need to be managed. NTT Data has a very comprehensive education program to ensure all employees meet the government requirements for employee education.
They are very straight forward with contractors on their expect roles and they provide support in all areas to ensure the client deliverables are meet.
Management of consulting resources between contracts.
Service Desk Engineer (Current Employee) – Montpelier, VT – August 25, 2016
Might not be an issue at some locations but advancing is a big issue if your hired in as L1 support, the benefits are terrible the pay is ok at low level positions but may be better at higher positions. The culture at work isn't bad but some management could be improved. No pay raise at least not at all client locations.
No issue with work/life balance, decent work culture
lack of advancement, poor benefits, and no pay raises
Great place to work with professionalism at its best.
PeopleSoft Techno Functional Consultant (Current Employee) – Eden Prairie, MN – May 2, 2016
NTT DATA Inc is one of the top IT companies in Service delivery today. It has been one of the finest places to work with lots of exposure to various aspects of the business. Internally, it promotes transparency always with an idea of valuing the employees greatly and with an intent to keep the professional life at its best. With that said, it also provides equal amounts of opportunities for the employees to venture around to find the right area of interests to work especially for freshers joining the company. I joined in as a fresher and I cannot be more pleased than I was with the avenues and the opportunities the company provided.
Account Partner (Former Employee) – Plano, TX – September 17, 2015
This company (at least the professional services component) is what I call "acquisition weary". Little effort is given to absorption and adoption of best practices, even less to real integration of acquired corporate assets and processes. NTT DATA doesn't so much have a bad culture as it simply lacks one. It's a Frankenstein company and the seams continue to show. They have their work cut out for them if they intend to acquire and retain top-tier talent. On the bright side, they have plenty of resources. It only takes competent management that cares to turn this into a real player in the IT space.
Large corporate parent, plenty of resources, very nice physical office, ability to telecommute
Lack integration, best practices, innovation, and long-term talent retention strategy
Principle Consultant (Former Employee) – Boston, MA – April 12, 2016
I worked for NTT Data for four years, and with the rebranding from Keane the company declined quickly into a money making machine with little care for the employees. For a recent graduate looking to cut some teeth into an IT career path this may be a good starting place, but once you learn you will realize that there is no career advancement, no training, no raises, no bonuses and very few managers have the skills to actually manage a team.
Above managers are uncaring level of management whose concern it is to drive new business out of the client and putting higher levels of work load on the people that they already have. They will drop a person in an instance if work dries up with no thought to the situation or the longevity of the employee.
HR is a joke, I would never work for this company again, I would not recommend this company to anyone. Work there at your own risk.
Its a job
No advancement, no raises, no training, lousy HR, incompetant uncaring management.
Principal Consultant/ Senior Systems Engineer (Current Employee) – Boston, MA – May 4, 2015
The People here love what they do and are motivated to exceed the industry standard. The support employees receive for self Improvement and skills upgrade are 2nd to none. The benefits for Canada are fantastic. The ability to progress and get promoted is easily attainable for those who want it. The culture is engaging and exciting.
Colleagues who are not motivated to excel and put in time and effort. If you are not in it to win it and are not self-motivated to be the best, suggestion is to go somewhere else. NTT is for high achievers.
Advice to Management
Management can always improve. however I personally have nothing but great engagement with my management, constant check in's are key. Also providing opportunities outside of semi and annual reviews for feedback are well established within my business group.
Principal Consultant (Former Employee) – Atlanta, GA – July 20, 2016
Management is SICK, absent, lack direction, knows nothing about leadership, too much politics by managers who are sucking the blood out of this company. There is no review mechanism for managers to be at par with industry standards and hence there is all thats left are bunch of idiots. AVOID this company at all cost.
Great people make a great company like NTT DATA. Hard working and sincere people. The environment is ripe for opportunity and growth. They have great tools to take advantage of including excellent training and certification programs.
CSR Help desk (Current Employee) – Chicago, IL – June 1, 2016
It is a great company to work for, they are wold wide and provide service to all types of companies
A results-driven, Software Help desk support specialist, troubleshooting and diagnosing issues within the user services department, assisting those users in the proper operation of their hardware ~ software and diagnosing functional and technical software problems arising then repairing hardware.
Instructional Designer (Former Employee) – Quantico, VA – July 28, 2015
One of the most unethical companies I have ever seen. This is the reason contractors and contracting companies get a bad reputation.
Management is a joke. They want warm bodies in seats to make money and cycle people through positions without regard for who or why they're hiring. They fail to clarify client need before hiring individuals and simply view people as a means to an end.
I honestly have nothing good to say about this situation. Management is terrible. The client is disorganized and uncertain of needs. No one knows who is in charge or who can establish need, and management will not hesitate to throw employees under the bus or fire them to save face with client.
Worst work experience of my life.
management, work environment, culture, client, unethical practices
The pay is great, and the hours are normal 40, but you will be let go suddenly and without explanation, and contradictory to what you've been told by HR when you get hired. The benefits are terrible, no PTO, insurance is a joke.
