Counselor for Residential Program
Well established co-occurring (MICD), residential, extended-care program located in Minneapolis’ Whittier neighborhood is seeking an experienced professional to add to our diverse staff. The ideal candidate is mature and understands the complexity and pace of working with residential clients. Must be comfortable working with a multidisciplinary team internally as well as allied health care professionals externally. Applicant must hold an LADC, LPCC, LP, LICSW, or LMFT.
Smaller caseloads allow our counselors to develop their professional skill-set through highly customized treatment plans for those clients who may also struggle with high recidivism, TBI, PTSD, etc.
Duties include providing assessment of chemical use and mental health problems, create and monitor individualized treatment plans, provide group therapy and individual counseling services to individuals with co-occurring chemical abuse and mental health problems. Candidate must have experience using an electronic health records (EHR) system and be proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel. Must also be comfortable with managing and communicating the details around client funding issues.
Qualifications: LADC, LPCC, LICSW, LP or LMFT preferred. Vetted professional experience and the ability to demonstrate cultural competency.
