I was a travel nurse, I would float to different facilities that was short staffed.
Charge Nurse L.P.N (Former Employee), Sarasota, FLMay 22, 2014
Pros: next day pay, excellant facilities or home cases to send me to.
Cons: working in different places never at the same place and very slow out of season.
Every facility that I rotated to was very pleasant, friendly staff and management to help assist me on the floor. And my agency was always making sure If any changes was made to the schedule to notify their staff promptly.

Good supplemental employment
Licensed Practical Nurse (Current Employee), Las Vegas, NVJanuary 19, 2014
Pros: daily pay and flexible scheduling
Cons: lack of work, office politics
Varied work assignments and shift options but unsteady work availability. Good for supplemental employment and for maintaining skills in specific areas(pediatrics, respiratory care, etc). I would recommend working for the company staying flexible and focused on the patients.

Office staff not very friendly and can be very rude...not professional
Certified Nurses Aide/PCA/HHA (Former Employee), Albany, NYApril 9, 2013
Pros: lots of facilities to work at
Cons: staff very rude, cliquey, not very professional, no calls for cancelations
I worked for Nursecore for 3 years and although they always had time for me in the nursing homes, some of the places were not good places to go. When I had an issue at the facility, the office staff were not very helpful at all. I worked home care too and got screwed with a case where I got hurt eventhough I told the agency that the client was hard – more... to lift and something had to be done. Nothing was done and I ended up quitting.
The office staff have their favorites, if your not one of them then you will not get as many hours or your the first one canceled. Cancelations happen quite a bit, which comes with working agency, but the staff wouldn't call you until an hour before the shift if at all. I can't tell you how many night shifts I showed up for and was told that I was canceled...not fun. I wouldn't recommend this agency purely on the fact that the office staff are the worst of the worst. If you can deal with constant rudeness and unprofessionalism then you might choose Nursecore. – less

Rude staff
Nurse (Former Employee), Albany NYFebruary 21, 2013
Pros: the pay was good better than most
Cons: rude staff, scary office that is old and outdated
Very rude staff. I was greeted by a rude woman at the front desk with attitude rolling her eyes at me. They booked me for ICU even though my critical care credentials had expired. I retook them and ended up in the ER but you can't work ICU without ACLS. When I cancelled they got upset but I'm not going to put my patients or license at risk. The staffing – more... guy was rude and overall the staff were clueless. They put non ER nurses in the ER. That was until Parallon came in and revamped the whole agency system. I haven't seen NurseCore much lately and it's no loss. They are just rude! – less

Embarrassed to put on my resume
CSS-LVN (Former Employee), TexasFebruary 2, 2013
Cons: everything
The entire experience was a waste of my time. Out of the job offers, I chose this company considering it was a national corporation. Unfortunately, I would never put on my resume because I am embarrassed to say I even worked there. As an office employee, field staff showed nothing but disrespect and I was not impressed with upper management. Office – more... was too "click-ish" and upper management encouraged the hostile work environment. I would never recommend this organization. – less

Very flexable work schedule, you able to set your own schedule.
Licensed Vocational Nurse (Current Employee), Amarillo, TXSeptember 19, 2012
The management at NurseCore are fantastic, friendly, and very knowledgable. They take the time to work with and your needs when working on your schedule. The manager himself is awesome, I have learned so much from over the years of working with him in different places. Most of the co-workers are very strong nurses and make you feel at ease working with – more... them. The hardest part of the job is that sometimes there are hours and sometimes not, but the management team really work hard to keep you working. – less

FRIENDLY, BUT "ILL-TRAINED" STAFF== Gainesville, FL
Registered Nurse (Former Employee), Gainesville, FLAugust 22, 2012
Pros: quick intake, friendly front office staff
Cons: low skill-sets within clinical administration, disconnect between clinical and administrative staff
I was pleased with my quick intake. However, I found their "Clinical Director" to be less than knowledgeable, leaving a field nurse to draw on his/her own knowledge most of the time. This branch attempts to "bundle" nursing services on the back of the field nurse (ie. asking the nurse to perform a regular visit, along with a supervisory AND re-certification – more... visit)....oh, with no extra compensation...lol. Interesting crew, to say the least. I do believe, however, this is a BRANCH/LOCATION issue. DO NOT sign on in this area. It's not a true representation of this company, based out of Texas. It's rather unfortunate. Better QI from corporate may be in order? – less

LVN (Current Employee), Santa Barbara, CAMay 10, 2012
Pros: learning something new every day
Cons: can get very busy to were i get short breaks only.
I enjoy Nursecore. A typical day at work is never known, they send you varies places. I learned to be a lot more patient through this job. Management is good, and I have co-workers that are wonderful. The hardest part of the job is having to leave. Most enjoyable is working with so many different people.
