Loved finding a place for seniors to live. Section 42 Housing Developments
Property Manager (Former Employee) – Madison, WI – July 26, 2017
Managed two Senior "Section 42" communities. Rent roll, government documents/renewals, in charge of maintenance & landscaping at both communities. They both had large community rooms so I also implemented board games, WII Bowling & Tournaments, and birthday celebrations. Once an Activities Director, always an Activities Director at heart.
Interactions with the residents.
Turning away prospective residents who did not financially qualify.
Working with senior citizens is great fun, a learning experience.
Marketing Coordinator (Former Employee) – South Milwaukee, WI – November 4, 2012
Loved working here with the seniors, however the company I worked for looked at it as a business rather than a relationship with them. I understand the business point of view, but to have a senior housing community and not think of it as a neighborhood under a roof is absurd. This is a community, this is their home, and we the office staff are part of their family. I personally, made them all my mom and dad, and I would assist them above and beyond my duties as part of the office staff. Even though I do not work there any longer, they are still my friends, and I so have contact with several of them. Meeting for lunch, day trips, just gong over to spend some time, they are lonely and need a friend, I have created that friendship with them.
