The goal of Ocean View School District is to deliver high quality, research-proven special education services by highly-qualified, skilled professionals. Ocean View School District is part of a five district SELPA (Special Education Local Planning Area.) The West Orange County Consortium for Special Education (WOCCSE) includes: Ocean View School District Fountain Valley School District Westminster School District Huntington Beach City School District Huntington Beach Union High School District These five districts have joined together to provide special education programs and services to students with special needs. The districts developed a local plan that explains how state and federal laws relating to special education are implemented. A copy of this local plan is available for public review at the District office and at the office of the West Orange County Consortium for Special Education located at 5832 Bolsa, Huntington Beach. The Special Education Local Community Advisory Committee (SE LCAC) is composed of parents of individuals with exceptional needs, educators, and community representatives who meet at least four times during the school year. This committee determines its own leadership and agenda with professional staff providing information and support.
