CSR1 - Internal Auditor, Charlotte, NC - February 27, 2017
First thing I would do is sign in then go make a cup of coffee. I would get to work and check my Outlook emails, start auditing invoices and meet the fast paced needs of clients and carriers firsthand. Take a nice 15 minute morning break and walk a trail around a lake, come back to my cubicle and audit more invoices and meet demands. Enjoy my lunch break of 30 minutes in the gym located on premises. Enjoy my actual lunch at my desk and audit more invoices for clients to meet my 80 minimum goal by end of day. Have a last 15 minute break and socialize and spend some time running on the treadmill. I had so much training in meetings and by co-workers. Management would assist but most of the help came from other auditors more experienced than I first was. Spent recent time learning a new client to help audit their invoices and communicate via email mostly to carriers about payments and any incorrect billing. Authorized to fix wrong billing within one of the three systems learned, which I used daily when completing successful auditing. I learned the proper way of sending a formal email. I learned that I have leadership potential. I learned that I easily speculate and memorize even the smallest details. Showed me that I am extremely detail focused. The hardest part of the job was learning the entire audit system, but once it was learned it made me realize that I have high potential in learning new things and gaining experience in a position that I would love to make a future career out of for years to come. Communication skills and leadership skills was something that I struggled with but with this job it has truly pushed me to better myself in both areas and see myself and future self within a company long-term utilizing the knowledge and confidence gained to hold a career in this position for the long-term. A really hard part about the job is that it is not promised to keep for long term. It is based as a contract job. The most enjoyable part of this job is setting short term and long term goals not only within the workforce but within my own personal being. Start and maintain a healthier lifestyle within my own being makes things a lot less stressful in the workforce.
