Depends on department. Medical Center has various shifts, rotating, swing, weekends, holidays, voluntary or mandatory overtime, etc.

Other departments are largely business hours, or other steady shift work (1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift) with weekends and holidays off.

Salary management or supervisory types may only be required by the books to work Monday through Friday at an assigned shift, but some of my supervisors often work 7 days a week and work many long shifts during the week to accomplish the tasks at hand. Varies by department.
