The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing support to their assigned department in an organized manner. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: copy and distribute materials as needed, provide assistance/back-up to other secretarial staff as needed, greet visitors in a professional manner, communicate with staff on an on-going basis, produce required departmental reports, letters, case notes, meeting minutes, and all other related documents for department personnel, answer incoming calls, take messages as needed, respond to caller questions, schedule appointments, organize and maintain department filing system, process department mail and correspondence - both incoming and outgoing. May be responsible for maintaining inventory of needed office supplies, placing orders, and organizing of supply area.
Must have an High School diploma or GED. An advanced level of secretarial or vocational training is preferred. Requires typing and computer literacy, including Microsoft Office products and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. E-mail and basic database usage required.
