The Intake Specialist is responsible for collecting and confirming insurance information on clients who are in the Intake process. The Intake Specialist is also responsible for entering data into the computer, prioritizing multiple tasks and daily office duties, answering incoming calls, explaining services and engaging clients as needed. This individual must possess strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally and courteously with agency personnel, vendors, authorities and other organizations. Must possess good problem solving and process development skills. Outstanding computer skills and the ability to operate office equipment are essential.
An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. Experience working with children, youth and families; office experience and insurance billing experience is preferred. A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
