*JOB DESCRIPTION
Part-time with possibility of going Full-time (1st, 2nd or 3rd shift)

The Treatment Specialist will supervise adolescent clients in one of the following areas: Residential Cottages, Group Homes, Day Treatment or Partial Hospitalization Programs. Responsibilities include; assure that a safe and therapeutic environment is maintained, handle emergency situations such as environmental, weather related and physical injury, provide crisis intervention in response to behavioral acting out clients according to agency guidelines, develop and consistently implement predictable routines for daily functioning, including wake-up, hygiene, meals and bedtime, plans and organizes activities and educational groups for clients which promote change and growth in areas of social skill building, physical, emotional and mental development, present self as a role model for clients and in establishing relationships, maintains professional child care/client boundaries, supervise the self-administration of medications as prescribed, complete all required paperwork daily and participate/complete all required training, supervision and team meetings.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have the ability to physically restrain clients whose ages, heights and weights vary
  • Driver’s license with safe driving record required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age with a High School Diploma/GED
  • Bachelor’s degree in a social service field and experience working with the adolescent population is preferred.

Our residential treatment campus offers services for children and adolescents with mental or behavioral health problems who require intensive supervision in an outof- home care setting. Our high quality services are designed to meet the individual needs of children and help children and their families work through past problems, strengthen pro-social skills and decrease the likelihood of future out-of-home care. All programs include a full complement of mental health and room and board services.

Our group homes are located in the community, we offer three licensed homes, available for boys or girls, from age 12 through high school graduation, who have behavioral, emotional and/or familial problem and who are able to be integrated with community schools, employment, and social/recreational activities. Group homes offer youth nurturing, structure and guidance and provide services to address the unique needs of emotionally troubled youth in a community-based setting.
