An affiliate organization of OhioGuidestone, Personal & Family Counseling Services (PFCS) is a private, non-profit family service agency that assists individual and families by providing many social services, such as counseling, support, advocacy and education, focusing on prevention as well as treatment. Services are available to all residents of Tuscarawas and Carroll counties.
The Youth Services Coordinator is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and providing oversight of OhioGuidestone’s Out of School Youth program in Tuscarawas County. This includes developing strong community support and collaborative partnerships, maintaining effective linkages with other agencies, ensuring quality and integration of program components, including: recruitment; education; work readiness and career exploration; leadership development; community service learning projects; paid work experience; occupational training; and employer and work site relationships. The Youth Services Coordinator will provide ongoing support, advocacy and guidance to program participants in order to help overcome personal, legal and professional barriers in order to meet program requirements and individual goals.
Candidates must possess a minimum of an Associate’s degree or equivalent experience providing employment services to low income participants and must have a valid Ohio driver’s license and safe driving record.
Strong leadership skills and management or planning experience in a community-based setting. Strong commitment to participant leadership, empowerment and skill building and experience working with community organizations and county funders.
