Productive billing team, great mentors.
Coding and Billing Internship (Former Employee), Oklahoma City, OKMay 19, 2014
Pros: great mentors
Cons: not enough work for me
I worked as a Medical office Assistant and a Medical Coder and Biller. I would sort files, verify insurance eligibility using Availity, Ability, or any other individual insurance website. I would code procedures for the office. I would make folders for patients and file those. Used the telephone to verify insurance and check claims with the insurance – more... companies. – less

Coding Specialist= previous (Former Employee), Oklahoma City, OKAugust 9, 2013
Pros: good compensation and benefits package. one of the best i have ever had.
Cons: upper management not qualified for their positions so very disorganized when seeking help.
Not enough physicians or staff so very overworked. Management is not qualified for the positions they are assigned to. Will terminate at will and will not follow their own policies.

Not enough managerial support
Public Health Nurse (Current Employee), Oklahoma City, OKAugust 14, 2012
Pros: great benefits package
Cons: poor customer service and employee appreciation
Most staff is friendly but over worked creating a burnout effect. Management is focused on being cutting edge and obtaining grant opportunities even if the community does not use the services. Too much focus on funding and not quality patient care.

DENTAL ASSISTANT (Current Employee), Oklahoma city, okJuly 26, 2012
Pros: helping people that cant afford health care
Cons: cant help everyone, hard to get into the clinic
A typical day there is helping as many people as we can, but we are
limited to how many people we can see, and there are so many that
need the health care help, sometimes we have to turn away people
for them to come back another day
