Great place to work
administrative (Former Employee) –  Oklahoma City, OKNovember 18, 2015
Oklahoma City Indian Clinic was a great place to work. You have set hours Monday through Friday, holidays off, excellent vacation time and PTO, and great benefits. It is a place that feels like family.

The worst part of the job is working for a non-profit the salaries are lower and increases do not come often.
Pros
Excellent colleagues, great benefits, set hours
Cons
Low paying due to non-profit

Breast Care Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Oklahoma City, OKFebruary 13, 2015
Self motivating position. A typical day could start with checking in patients, scheduling appointments to making sure that patients are transported to their appointments or referrals written and signed by physician. Good place for learning multiple skills.
Pros
good supervisor.
Cons
no job security.

Coding and Billing Internship (Former Employee) –  Oklahoma City, OKMay 19, 2014
I worked as a Medical office Assistant and a Medical Coder and Biller. I would sort files, verify insurance eligibility using Availity, Ability, or any other individual insurance website. I would code procedures for the office. I would make folders for patients and file those. Used the telephone to verify insurance and check claims with the insurance companies.
Pros
great mentors
Cons
not enough work for me

Human Resource Manager (Former Employee) –  Oklahoma City, OKSeptember 16, 2013
Supervisors are supportive. The company is a visionary to all medical facilities. You would learn a lot from the leadership of the Clinic. Co-workers are enthusiastic about their position. Hardest part of the job was leaving to take care of family.
Pros
great benefits

Coding Specialist= previous (Former Employee) –  Oklahoma City, OKAugust 9, 2013
Not enough physicians or staff so very overworked. Management is not qualified for the positions they are assigned to. Will terminate at will and will not follow their own policies.
Pros
good compensation and benefits package. one of the best i have ever had.
Cons
upper management not qualified for their positions so very disorganized when seeking help.

Public Health Nurse (Current Employee) –  Oklahoma City, OKAugust 14, 2012
Most staff is friendly but over worked creating a burnout effect. Management is focused on being cutting edge and obtaining grant opportunities even if the community does not use the services. Too much focus on funding and not quality patient care.
Pros
great benefits package
Cons
poor customer service and employee appreciation

DENTAL ASSISTANT (Current Employee) –  Oklahoma city, okJuly 26, 2012
A typical day there is helping as many people as we can, but we are
limited to how many people we can see, and there are so many that
need the health care help, sometimes we have to turn away people
for them to come back another day
Pros
helping people that cant afford health care
Cons
cant help everyone, hard to get into the clinic
