OSSM depends on a unique partnership of public and private support. OSSM Faculty Awards enable the school to retain and reward exceptional, experienced educators who might otherwise pursue opportunities elsewhere. Proceeds from An Awesome Evening will be used to create additional OSSM Faculty Awards.
Sponsorship levels have been established for the event. A gift of $10,000 entitles the donor to a table of eight with imported champagne during dinner, prominent recognition in the invitation and program, as well as preferred seating. A donation of $5,000 also includes a table of eight and recognition in the program. A $2,500 sponsor will receive four reserved dinner seats and acknowledgment in the program. An individual patron ticket is $500 and a single ticket is $250. In addition, Meg and Chris Salyer will entertain patrons in their home on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008.
Members of the Awesome Evening Committee include Ann Alspaugh, Gene Barth, Annie Bohanon, Jerry Burger, Kaye Cook, Joan Frates, Connie and Gary Fuller, Linda Garrett, Joan Gilmore, Connie Givens, Vicki Gourley, Julie Hall, Holly Healey, Bette Jo Hill, Sarah Hogan, Nancy Leonard, Karen Luke, Barbara Paul, Linda Rodgers, Marianne Rooney, Meg Salyer, Jim Vallion, Martha Williams and Jean Warren.
