Olapic is a fun fast-paced startup with great talent. Everyone works hard and plays hard. A typical day on the sales team would include making numerous cold calls and sending out email blasts, then following up on those email blasts, trying to create as many warm leads in a day as possible to help build the pipeline.
As a Brand Strategist, I had a Market Developer on my team that helped with outreach as well, so there was typically meetings everyday on strategy and management. I was responsible for carrying sales cycles from start to finish so prospect management was a big part of my day too. I.e., providing education materials, training sessions, facilitating technical discussions as well as negotiating throughout the legal processes.
Training resources were limited for the Olapic product. Being a start-up that is typical but did cause frustration among the employees. Management was not strong in facilitating/encouraging cross-team collaboration, so while every task was always completed, it wasn't always the most efficient or delivered timely, which as a client-facing employee was the hardest part of the job.
Olapic has a great culture with great people, which was the most enjoyable aspect of working there. Occasional happy hours and catered lunches were always a plus too.
