Pros: decent pay and benefits
Cons: no security
Thought this job would finally provide me with the wage and insurance I needed. I was very excited to have it. I worked hard, passed all four tests they gave me, and still I was let go after 60 days because a co-worker who has been there longer simply didn't like me. That's all it took. I did everything in my power to get along well with co-workers – more... and to learn all the skills required and more, hoping to advance, and in the end, the way this company works is that it's a buddy-buddy relationship between certain management members and team members, and ultimately within the 90 day probation period they can terminate you for ANY reason. Even if the reason is not fair and has nothing to do with how good of a worker you are. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! – less

Daily work was good as all peers worked as team players
HR/PR Manager (Former Employee), Battle Ground, WAJune 14, 2012
Each morning I processed a report from the timeclock (kronos) and (Xata) electronic timesheet for our drivers, and verified that compliance was in place. Production employees regarding safety and organizing safety committee meetings and awards. Management was always good to work with as I had good support of what needed to be done and what had to be – more... done. I never truly felt that my job was too hard as I enjoyed my position as HR/PR Manager.

Having positive support from management and co-workers including our corporate management made each day enjoyable. – less

Pros: unpredictable everyday.
Cons: unpredictable everyday.
Oldcastle BE was a great place for me to grow as a person as well as a worker. By being in management and going to school at the same time my people skills improved greatly. The product we made at Oldcastle was something to take pride in. It made you feel good to come to work everyday.
