Productive and fun Workplace
Multi- Skilled Engineer (Former Employee), London at the Olympic StadiumNovember 30, 2012
Pros: free lunch
Cons: long hours
Fun loving and exciting everyday. Meet new people every day, good management and interesting co-workers with varied backgrounds. Hardest part of the job was the long walk from the station to the stadium through the park. The most enjoyable part of the job was the continous daily excitment of the olympic sports.

My typical day was to montior the venue i was working on, also logging in different incidents and checking cameras to see if their are working, if not then reporting it to the line manager, keeping in contact with the police and the other security guards that are patrolling the area, the hardest part of the work was when i went on the radio as i haven't – more... had any training and at first it was hard to think what to say, i learnet so much when i was working there from qualified managers and staff and i have picked up so much skills in the job, the most enjoyable part of the job was working with a good team that helped each other. – less

One day I went there and if a I remember correctly it was my fifth day at work. I started working as i was told on the training day but after few minutes the SUPERVISOR told me to do what I wasn't supposed to do but as it was an ORDER so I had to and I learnt from this experience that sometimes U have to do stuff that U aren't trained to do just because – more... U are instructed to. – less

Olympics Co-ordinator (Former Employee), Stockton-on-Tees and LondonSeptember 7, 2012
Pros: meeting new people and making a difference to their lives.
Cons: being away from home, but learnt to deal with it well.
My typical day at work when I first joined the company I worked in an office environment which mainly consisted of using the phone and sending correspondents via email and letter.
In the last two months working with the company I was asked to work in London for 3 weeks which I jumped at the chance, when we got there we worked all around London, helping – more... students who had applied to be security officers in the Olympics with queries to do with scheduling and reimbursement, face to face and by telephone. My next role in this company was working with the special skills department in London, calling candidates and getting information from them in regards to their availibility to work then I passed this information over to collegues. By the time my work in London had ended, I had been there for two months. – less
