Corporate does not understand development
Developer (Former Employee), Calabasas, CA – February 27, 2013
Pros: coffee
Cons: artificial metrics; politics; inexperienced managers
Very political environment.
People external to the development team wield an unnecessary amount of influence on the team.
Corporate pays lip service to valuing employees, but in practice, that doesn't translate.
Morale is fairly low on the Coldfusion team, as well as other teams.

not a good experience
Medical Assistant (Former Employee), West Allis, WI – October 24, 2012
Pros: good pay
Cons: never receiving full time and not utilizing my skills
On assignment is an agency that places you with the best possible fit in a job position. They only work for healthcare . I was not given my full time that i applied for. and all they kept assigning me to were eye doctors when i asked to be put into medical assisting jobs.all i really did were eye exams.never really got the chance to enhance my medical – more... assisting skills. – less

Account Executive (Current Employee), Confidential – October 19, 2012
Pros: employee friendly and great compensation
Cons: can't think of any
Great management team, awesome co-workers, outstanding compensation and benefits package, very employee friendly and the low turnover within the company speaks for itself.

Poor benefits- won't pay for time clocked in
Travel Nurse (Former Employee), Ohio – September 16, 2012
Pros: ok pay- some good assignments
Cons: inaccurate pay- no free health benefits. benefits don't start day 1.
Pay was decent- benefits were NOT free and were paid for by the employee. Insurance was NOT day 1. Pay was always incorrect- they refused to pay for time actually worked and would "round" to the hour. Ex. Had worked 49 hours and 20 mins would only be paid for 49 hours. They are screwing the employee out of hundreds of dollars a year- with thousands – more... of employees this adds up to a lot of money. I asked about it time worked vs time paid and they refused to back pay or accurately pay. I am now working for a more honest company that accurately pays and with day 1 free insurance and benefits!! BEWARE of this company they will take advantage of you!!! – less

Remote opportunities but......
Coding Consultant (Current Employee), Home – May 3, 2012
Pros: remote opportunites
Cons: health benefits, unknowledgable staff, doesn't care enough about their coders
I am so happy to be able to code remotely from home thanks to On Assignment but what makes it frustrating is the lack of support and general coding knowledge from management and the recruiting staff. Don't count on being able to speak with your recruiter about any coding issues you have with the client because they don't know what you are talking about. – more... Also if the client is unable to provide full time employment it doesn't seem to me that On Assignment's staff really works to find supplemental employment opportunites. I think that they might have too many coders assigned to recruiters too because when I worked for two different clients one week I got an email from my original client asking if I had been only working part time because they had not been informed and were wondering why their queues were fuller than normal. The benefit package you receive after working 30/week for a consecutive 4 weeks is not even worth it. Their reimbursent I believe is only 70/30 or 60/40 and to insure your entire family it is around $317 a week just for medical. In their defense I must say that most other contract companies I've worked for are the same (why don't they have recruiters that know SOMETHING about coding?!) but every other place I've worked for has had A LOT better benefit packages. – less

On Assignment
Environmental Lab Technician (Former Employee), Ferndale, WA – January 23, 2012
Pros: staffing service was well organized and personable, my recruiter followed up regularly
Cons: disconnected from employee assignments
The "recruiter" was very professional and highly organzed! However, the company that I was contracted too was not ideal. Management at this company was poor at best, zero work/life balance, no benefits, no raises, no advancement. I felt that the company I was assigned to breached my ethics and morals.
