One Smart Kid, LLC is looking for experienced tutors/teachers to teach Language Arts (reading comprehension, writing, critical thinking skills), study/organization skills, test preparation (SAT/ACT/SSAT), Math (algebra 1 & 2, calculus, trigonometry), Science (biology, chemistry, physics), and foreign languages (Spanish and French) in both Marin and San Francisco.

Teaching credential is preferred; however, prior experience can replace qualification. Applicant must have mastery of subject matter and knowledge of different learning styles and how to teach accordingly.
We are looking for dedicated tutors who can effectively teach, encourage, motivate, and bring humor and excitement to their work with students.
Tutors travel to student's home or school so having a car is helpful.
-Provide one-on-one academic tutoring.
-Maintain and submit thorough weekly reports on student's progress.
-Ensure and facilitate teacher/parent communication.
-Establish strong working relationship with office staff and students.
-Participate in training sessions and staff meetings.
-Be a team player.
-Prior teaching experience required.
-Teaching credential preferred.
- Knowledge of appropriate techniques and methods on how to teach curriculum based on different learning styles.
-Demonstrate a commitment and dedication to working educationally with children and youth.
-Understanding and knowledge of learning differences such as ADD/ADHD and appropriate strategies for remediation and organization.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to work independently, as well as take direction.
-Desire to be part of a growing company and contribute to its excellence.
Salary: $27-35 per hour, depending upon experience. Hours are flexible.
