Great Company to Work For
Talent Management & Compliance Supervisor (Current Employee) – Denver, CO – July 18, 2016
This is an amazing company to work for. I don't plan on going anywhere in the foreseeable future. I have autonomy and flexibility to manage my time and efforts during the work day to accomplish my goals and tasks. I'm not micromanaged at all, and have access to upper management any time I need their input. I love the open door policy here. I feel I actually have a voice.
I've learned a lot about many different aspects of the business, from state regulations to emotional intelligence, in my 4 years here, and now I have the opportunity to share that learning with others in my new position at the company. It is a dream job really. I enjoy coming to work every single day, even on the toughest days.
One of the reasons the company is so amazing is the culture and the people. Upper management has done an excellent job of cultivating a family culture, which is hard to do with over 300 employees. Management operates with the highest ethical standards and with integrity, which inspires others to do the same.
Optimal believes in investing in its employees, and offers a number of opportunities for continuing education. When they recognize talent, they invest. I love that.
The hardest part of the job is keeping up with changes. Healthcare is a dynamic field...
The one thing I wish the company offered was flexible hours... it would be nearly impossible, given the nature of the business, but it would be nice to be able to work from home on occasion, or work a different schedule during the day.
Compliance Supervisor (Current Employee) – Denver, CO – July 18, 2016
I have worked for Optimal Home care for 11 years now. I have seen it grow from tinny to big and the owners have truly invested in the employees and helped us to grow with the company. I love going to work each day because of the people and the atmosphere of family.
Physical Therapist (Former Employee) – Denver, CO – June 3, 2016
Very click oriented office. Most from what I understand go to the same church. The assistant HR person is only highschool educated and is untouchable. Way under paid rates for most positions and poor treament from office personel.
Human Resources Director (Current Employee) – Denver, CO – May 4, 2016
I have worked for Optimal Home Care for over 4 years now and I have no plans to leave. What I love the most about working for Optimal Home Care is that the work I do absolutely makes a difference; for our staff, our patients, and our community. I love the "family feel" even though we have grown from a census of a little over 300 to 1100 since I've been here - the owners are accessible and a part of the everyday operations of the agency. Optimal is, in my opinion, a cut above most agencies in terms of integrity, flexibility, forward thinking, and values. This is a great (not perfect) place to work.
Values drive, flexible, adaptable, improvent mindset and lots off fun events to get to know other staff.
RN Staff Nurse (Former Employee) – Denver, CO – March 16, 2016
This money hungry, short-sighted company does not value it's employees. Optimal Home care believes in under-paying clinical staff to maximize their profits. Don't waste any time applying to this company. Their leadership is under-educated and will offer the lowest pay you have ever heard before. Go to work for a company that truly values its employees! It's just a matter of time before they sell out like all the other small home health agencies out there.
