I used a program called Dataflow to keep track of inventory. Signing items out to their proper GL Codes, or specific orders. I would also keep track of any new received inventory that came in from outside vendors and specifically match our purchase order with the vendor invoice, to check for mistakes on either side. I would also ship orders out through UPS, FedEx, and DHL based on customer orders that were sent to my department through the sales team. From there I would go over each order specifically to ensure correctness prior to it being boxed and shipped. The company operated with multiple different areas using the LEAN manufacturing method. Personally, the hardest part of the job was knowing there weren't many advancement opportunities based on the smaller size of the company. The people I worked with were wonderful and being at work everyday never felt difficult just to be there.
