Origin HR has provided Outsourced HR Consultancy services to Bridgewell since January 2005. This service has included both an on-site presence as well as advisory services when appropriate. In October 2005, as part of Bridgewell's acquisition of R.W. Bairds Equity Capital Markets (ECM) Business, following Bridgewell's acquisition of Baird & Co's – more... UK Investment Banking business, Origin was asked to advise on and manage HR issues arising from the merger. This included harmonisation of employment terms & conditions, TUPE transfer of employment and potential redundancies arising out of the acquisition plus the provision of outplacement when required. Throughout this process Origin conducted a series of presentations for the senior management and employees (both informally and formally through employee representative groups) at each company ensuring clear communications and employee understanding during the integration period.
Origin was able to call upon its considerable knowledge of best HR practice within financial institutions, having worked upon a considerable number of merger and acquisitions from an HR perspective. In addition Origin provided senior remuneration benchmarking and comparison through its association with DLA-Piper Rudnick.
Origin provided a timely and seamless service whilst being able to mitigate costs compared to what the company would have otherwise paid to professional advisers.
