Typical days is arriving at 9am to 5:30pm and taking 75-85 call per day with two breaks and 1/2 hour lunch. You cannot go to the bathroom without asking for permission via email and awaiting a response. If you do well with Quality Monitoring they reward you with another insurance contract to answer more calls. Days may pass and you do not see management but will receive email correspondence. I have learned patience... and how to review claims. Coworkers are usually the nicest because you are all in the same boat. The hardest part of the job was being unappreciated and micro managed. Also having HR and the manager running the dept. like an organized crime ring or sweat shop. Do not expect to take time off unless you happen to ask at the right time because typically 2 or 3 people are allowed off at a time including the supervisor and the quality assurance dept which consists of two people
There is a supervisor however she has no real authority. Manager wants to be in charge and have her hand in everything. Lets not forget to mention the VP she has zero people skills and walks around without even a look to others unless of course she needs something then she manages to speak with reps. Overall I would not recommend this position unless your need to add experience to your resume and move on as quickly as possible.
