Teacher Assistant, Mexico, NY - April 6, 2014
A typical day at work started off by greeting each of the students every morning. We would head over to the pool and spend the morning in the pool with he students playing games and teaching them how to swim or become stronger swimmers. The afternoon we would either be outside with the students playing game or letting them play on the park. I learned that students with disabilities are great students to spend time with. They are so full of life and always have a smile on their face. They make going to work easier because they are so happy to be there. The hardest part of the job is having students in wheel chairs. It is hard to do activities with them. We always seemed to make it work though and had fun.
