Position Description
Outsell, Inc. the only advisory firm entirely focused in the information industry is looking for a Business Information Specialist to manage its company database.

Key Responsibilities
As the Business Information Specialist and owner of Outsell's company database you are responsible for:

Understanding, maintaining and implementing our information industry segmentation in collaboration with our senior research team

Ensure the database is maintained, updated and accurate at all times.

Be a strong researcher that LEADS estimating revenue for all companies based on a variety of models and Outsell's methodology and Outsell's segmentation

Enhance the breadth, depth and accuracy of the database to create new offerings and offer enhanced differentiated value to our clients and analysts

Be responsible for the sizing of diversified companies and ensuring the portion of their revenue allocated to particular segments and analysts is accurate

Handle requests for data pulls and be responsible for inquiries that plan multiple segments.

Work with market analysts to derive annual industry sizing

Be conversant in other data solutions functions to support editorial process to support our headline service to the industry and create value added newsletters

Experience
We are looking for a self-driven individual who has a passion for accurate data and databases and how it can offer value through analytics, modeling and creative UX

In your career, you have already created data assets using relational database in Access or other BI tools

For example you have worked on customer databases and / or help build market sizing tools

You were responsible to find and enter the data accurately

You do not need an IT background but you are no stranger to running queries across multiple data
tables! You are a power user!

You do not need to program queries but you know how to write specifications for developing them

You are an Excel power users who knows how to use pivot tables, filter, vlookups and more

You are also passionate about understanding the qualitative trend of markets

You are broadly able to speak about the market your current company belongs to

You are also aware of where and why your current company customers find value

Qualifications
2 to 5 years work experience with a proven track records in working with data and databases

College degree required
