About Oxford Aviation

Oxford Aviation was founded on April 1, 1989 by its owner and President, James L. Horowitz. Jim reflects on the company's early years below:
As founder, I was attracted – more... at the time to the availability of the airport facility in Oxford and the presence of a small, maintenance operation on site after owning and operating a boat refurbishing facility in Florida for many years. My passion for aviation and Maine's great history of quality craftsmanship led me to develop the project in Maine…. After twenty five years, 4000 planes, we look forward to further growth.
We are proud of the fact that Oxford Aviation has consistently have been named as one of the top paint shops in the U.S., and has been featured on the cover of over 50 national publications.
