Customer Service Assistant Representative (Former Employee) –  Woodside, NYNovember 15, 2017
A typical day at work consisted of dealing with paperwork answering phones and handling cash transactions at the same time in a fast paced environment. Involved a high volume of multitasking.
I learned that anything is possible if you put your time and effort into it. This role was not easy considering the fact that everything had to be done fast and all at the same time. Also, the business is very busy so the duties and responsibilities of this role were constantly flowing making it difficult to multitask. Key is practice makes perfect and after a while everything seems to flow easily.
The hardest part of the job was the fact that multitasking was mandatory at a fast pace.
The most enjoyable part of the job was being able to accomplish the duties of this role and be successful at doing so.

Relaxed but has moments where it gets very busy
Telemarketer / Customer Service (Current Employee) –  Farmingdale, NYSeptember 28, 2017
There are hours where you are on call after call and it is very busy but there are also periods of time in which it is a more relaxed setting. You take calls for 8 hours, I have learned how to work on several screens and how to speak professionally to other organizations. The management is filled with friendly faces that will assist you however they can, the culture was an enjoyable environment. Hardest part of the job was handling customers that needed a supervisor when all supervisors were busy. Most enjoyable part of the job was the times in which it was a relaxed environment.
Pros
Hour break
Cons
Fixed schedule

SALES/ MANAGEMENT (Former Employee) –  Bayside, NYSeptember 5, 2017
Long work hours with no guaranteed pay scale. As a salesman you are required to sell enough to make what they pay you in "guaranteed salary" which is barely minimum wage, and if you don't you owe the company money at the end of the month
Pros
discounts on products
Cons
constant fear of being fired for poor sales numbers

You are painted a picture of independency but it is the complete opposite of that. The company presents lovely perks through the companies that they work with but dont do as good of a job as they should taking care of their own employees. They need to need to improve the company culture.

Sales Manager (Former Employee) –  Farmingdale, NYAugust 18, 2017
Talented employees. Job is highly stressful and does not pay in line with the job performed. Bonus structure is unfair and decided randomly. There is a cap on the money you can make.
Pros
Financially solid with talented employees
Cons
Pay is below average for duties performed.

Retail Sales Consultant (Former Employee) –  Astoria, NYJuly 5, 2017
As a P.C.Richardson & Son Sales associate I was tasked with selling various electronics to customers and reaching consistent sales goals. Although not the best environment to work in, long hours and scheduling problems. It provided a self sufficient work space that allowed me to practice and learn various sales skills that have helped me in other fields.
Pros
Open floor
Cons
Long hours, Shift Schedueling

Fun work place, laid back, great enviroment, learn day to day knowledge on appliances and electronics
Stock Personnel (Former Employee) –  Hauppauge, NYJune 28, 2017
This job was great, making sure that your inventory was always up to date gave a sense of power due to you were the one pulling and bringing in items. The salesmen and managers would scan and bring stuff into the store but it was ultimately your job to make sure everything matches up. When the job was busy, you were busy, but when the store starts to settle down, you have much free time that can be spent doing things such as cleaning and messing with the electronics to further teach yourself about the new technology.
Pros
Meet new people everyday, learn about the latest technology, gives plenty of personal space
Cons
Building BBQs takes a long time, and could be more productive somewhere else, short lunch, hectic at times of inventory screw ups

Sales Counselor (Current Employee) –  Forest Hills / WoodsideJune 15, 2017
This place is horrible to work for. They make you responsible for other people's errors even when they don't involve your department at all. If a delivery driver doesn't deliver, their boss isn't on their back, the salesman, who has nothing to do with delivery, is responsible. They pay far less than your average commission-based electronic stores, offering only 1% commission, while other jobs offer up to 6% on average. There are store managers that drink on the job, and I mean DRINK TO GET DRUNK and steal sales from their sales associates. Terrible.

Commissioned Salesman (Former Employee) –  Wayne, NJApril 14, 2017
You are constantly under the gun to meet quotas for service contract and the hours are long. They make you do inventory and do not get paid for it. You also have to attend training meetings on your own time.
Pros
Employee discount
Cons
Stressful commission sales
