High volume atmosphere with great leadership
Head Bartend/Trainer/Key Employee (Current Employee), North Bethesda, MD – April 11, 2013
I've worked at this location for over three years. It is an ever changing community with new and exciting attractions. All of the mangers care about their employees and are invested in their well being. I enjoy working the busiest shifts and being in the "trenches" with my co-workers.

Fun, but stressful
Server (Current Employee), Des Moines, IA – February 28, 2013
Pros: management is good, if you do your job well
Cons: some guests and plain stupid and mean.
Im a server, i slave over people and their tedious needs for a meal, but occasionally have a pleasant table. I make decent tips, but I'm a good server, not a job for everyone. Need to be able to multitask, quick thinker, energetic, personable attitude, able to let bullcrap slide off your back.

Productive and very fun work place
Server/Trainer (Former Employee), Mission Viejo, CA – February 7, 2013
Pros: 50% food, great atmosphere
Cons: no breaks, no job security
PF changs had to be one of the best jobs I have ever had. I learned how to exicute multiple task, creat bonds with patrons and co-workers. I never found the job to be difficult. It considered me to be moving at a quick pace all the time and I could do that with flying colors. I enjoyed making my customers happy.
I ended up leaving the company due to – more... a persuite in the medical field.
If I was ever offered to go back, I would I was very happy there. – less

Upscale dining
Waitress (Current Employee), Huntsville, AL – January 28, 2013
Pros: discount on food
Cons: very short breaks and long hours, undesireable hours
Everyone here works together as a team to make the work atmosphere the best it should be. I have learned to cater to the public's wants and needs according to our dining. The physical aspect of the job is very demanding. It is enjoyable to be around great people.

P.F. Chang's China Bistro
Hostess (Former Employee), Thousand Oaks, CA – December 7, 2012
Pros: frequently my meals were comped more then 50%, and i got free food sometimes. the hours were short which was nice as i was in school.
Cons: i didn't enjoy working here at all.
I didn't like working there. The atmosphere was kind of depressing and I felt greasy after my shift. I was more dependable than other hostesses and takeout servers but was never moved up to server, so I left. The managers and employees were nice but not the best at what they do.

Pays well, however after a while it seems to be all there is
Server (Current Employee), Freehold, NJ – October 3, 2012
Pros: half of all dishes, retirement program, opportunities for management
Cons: no breaks really, very hard to get off, can get sent home in less than 2 hours on especially dead days
P.F. Changs is a great way to make money and pass time. There is always something that needs to be done and if it dies down enough and you are not closing, you do not have to stay, and since this particular location is attached to the Freehold Mall business is typically pretty good.
If you are not a very sociable person, becoming a waiter and dealing – more... with people on a daily basis can be a good way to gain skills in that area. The other employees are generally very helpful and the managers can also make the experience there easy to adapt to.
The most difficult part of the job is knowing that you have absolutely no idea when you will be going home. Also, people who fish for free food and your average, not so nice person can cause some problems. The job pays every night however so if you are ever strapped for cash, going to work means you will have something in your pocket for later. – less

More than just a restaurant
Server (Current Employee), Metairie, LA – September 24, 2012
Even though you will be on a non stop high volume pace, the atmosphere created by the staff is very pleasent. I find the management team hires like personalities that like to have fun while getting the job done. This company has done A LOT for me from helping study for school to providing my local staff with donations from other stores to help us personally – more... rebuild our lives after we were hit by a hurricane. I am very grateful to be a part of an organization that really goes beyond just serving food. They really do give back to the community! – less

Great place to work during college. The Knoxville, TN location had a great staff with little turnover while I was there. Great management that will work with your schedule. Fantastic food, good training programs, and the tips were great and consistent.

Great work experience right out of college.
Operations Coordinator (Former Employee), Greenville, SC – August 20, 2012
Great chance to see the business side of retail work. I was responsible for proper management of materials orders and inventory, as well as keeping order between all departments of the restaurant. I had good communication with management and we were able to resolves most issues in an efficient manner. The fast-paced environment could at times be very – more... difficult and overwhelming, but that is probably the most enjoyable part. There was something always satisfying about be able to get through a rush or making it through a high stress situation. – less

Communications Specialist (Former Employee), Scottsdale, AZ – August 5, 2012
Pros: a lot of catered lunches, great benefits, great work-life balance
When I took this position on, there wasn't much expectations as it was an new position entirely. It was a great opportunity to try new things as well as build new relationships with other departments. I was always doing something new and working with a new team. This made it fun for me as I enjoy the constantly changing workload. Management is great – more... and work hard to help you grow as an employee. The hardest part of the job was the fact that I had to create the position and job description since it never existed. However, it was an amazing opportunity and incredibly eye-opening in a good way. My favorite part was working with many different departments and being able to assist them with communications to include e-mails, newsletters, and other projects. – less

Not your average restaurant
Server (Current Employee), Sacramento, CA – July 26, 2012
I've been employed at the same restaurant for almost 7 years. There have been giant swings up and down as with any business: with the diversity of the clientele that comes in, how the kitchen staff rocks your food out, management styles from being dedicated to bring out the best in everyone to others who just walk around with a set of keys collecting – more... a paycheck... through it all I think the most amazing thing about the restaurant is the staff. The majority of the waitstaff has been there for 5+ years. Its indicitive of the team environment fostered within the workplace. – less

P.F. Chang's China Bistro
Bartender/Customer Service/ Sales/Server (Former Employee), Scottsdale, AZ – June 5, 2012
Pros: benefits, location, chance for promotion
Cons: work/life balance
A typical day at work was fun and the environment was always positive. I learned many things from working for this corporation, one of the biggest things I learned was to always and I mean always take good care of the guest/customer and they will not only bring friends and family but they will become regulars. My co- workers and managers became good – more... friends of mine, we were like a family. The most difficult part of the job was when a customer was inebriated and being disrespectful. The best part of the job was meeting new people and also having an extended family with the regulars and staff. – less

Great company to work for. They definately show their appreciation.
Server (Current Employee), Boise, ID – April 24, 2012
Pros: great management and staff
Cons: professional setback, use of education
I am able to converse with the public on a daily basis. This has taught me a lot about the person I am and has allowed me to network with a variety of people. The atmosphere of people I work with is productive and healthy. Sometimes the public can be difficult to satisfy; however, everything in life has its ups and downs. The most enjoyable area of – more... work is being able to use my communicative ability to potentially advance my personal growth. – less
