PLACES cares for adults diagnosed with mental health disorders, including the homeless, by providing housing and supportive services they need to live happier, healthier, more independent lives. A not-for-profit organization PLACES celebrating its 25th year anniversary is looking for a Director of Client Services. This position, under administrative supervision of the Executive Director, is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating client care and services in our Residential and Case Management programs. Provides overall supervision to all direct care staff members and immediate supervision to the Coordinator of Residential Services and the Supportive Living Program Manager while operating within PLACES culture of respect, dignity and compassion

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in a human service field
  • Current Ohio PCC or LISW with a supervisory endorsement
  • Five years supervisory experience
  • Seven years of direct service experience in Behavioral Health Care
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Good driving record
  • Insured personal vehicle
  • Personal Cell phone

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of and experience in the Ohio mental health system
  • Knowledge of and experience with HUD and HEARTH Act

RESPONSIBILITIES: (but not limited to)

  • Develop quality services that will assist residents, clients and tenant in reaching their maximum potential
  • Develop policies and procedures to ensure that residents, clients and tenants access appropriate services
  • Ensure that productivity standards are met in each service
  • Participate in setting employment standards, recommending hiring and disciplinary actions to the Executive Director
  • Execute plans for services including both planning for additional services and revising current services
  • Produce periodic reports on all evaluation including the activity of the Quality Assurance Committee
  • Recommend changes in operation as needed based upon the results of the evaluations
  • Evaluate the performance of the Coordinator of Residential Services and the SLP Manager based
  • Ensure that all services meet their productivity standards
  • Meet weekly with the SLP Manager, and completing the monthly supervision form and quarterly summary
  • Meet weekly with the Coordinator of Residential Services keeping notes of each meeting and completing the monthly supervision form and quarterly summary.
  • Identify areas for improvement and offer recommendation for achieving improvement
  • Assumes responsibilities in absence of Coordinator of Residential Services
  • In collaboration with the Coordinator of Residential Services, develop, implement and continually up-date staff member training with an emphasis on ensuring that PLACES adheres to the Ohio Department of Mental rules and the standards of the HEARTH Act
  • Locate pertinent external training opportunities
  • Provide staff training in areas of competence
  • Adhere to PLACES’ core beliefs and values and encourage adherence by staff members
  • Adhere to all agency policies and procedures and ensure that they are enforced throughout the company
  • Ensure adherence to the rules, laws and policies of PLACES’ funders, the State of Ohio, the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development and any entity that has jurisdiction over the operation of PLACES’ services
  • Prepare reports, plans and other documents directed by the Executive Director
  • Assist the Executive Director in formulating and implementing PLACES policies
  • Act in place of the Executive Director in his/her absence
  • Attend and participate in community activities related to job functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Director
  • Upon request from Human Resources, assist in interviewing prospective employees and make recommendations as needed
  • Chair a Quality Assurance Committee
