Job Description:
Full-time position open to join our team as a Rx Care Coordinator II. The candidate must have a broad knowledge of practice and be skilled in the techniques required to order, stock, and package and process medications in a pharmacy. Prior knowledge of NRx is strongly preferred. Must be well organized, have a keen eye for detail and enjoy performing precise work, flexible to changes and easily accepting direction. Dependability, communication and interpersonal skills are also essential as the position entails communicating with patients, doctors, pharmacists and coworkers. Excellent computer skills required including proficient knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook and demonstrated ability to quickly learn and work with customized software to track medical records and maintain paperless patient charts.

Contacts patients pro-actively for patient intervention and communicate information to Pharmacist or Respiratory Therapist for any intervention/follow-up with doctor as needed
Provide outreach to patients, verify information and assist patients with medication refills over the phone using excellent telephone etiquette
Act as liaison between patients, representatives, and physicians and provide follow-up calls to patients
Under the direct supervision of the pharmacist, assist the pharmacist with maintaining written or computerized patient-specific medication records and labels, according to pharmacy law and regulations, including maintaining patient charts.
Stock and inventory prescription medications and check stock for expired products.
Participate in the inventory re-ordering process. Responsible to write needed items on ordering clipboard per pre-established inventory pars, check in inventory upon receipt, match up packing slips with invoices, and follow up with vendors to check on orders and/or incorrect orders.
Pull correct medications, count, and affix label to medication containers.
Assemble medication packages with appropriate patient-specific paperwork
Update patient drug record as needed.
Assist in obtaining Physician refill orders that meet all prescription requirements.
Ensure that all Local, State and Federal laws are being followed.
Understand and observe HIPAA policy regarding patient and/or co-worker confidentiality.
Maintain a high work ethic, including attendance and professionalism in all areas.

Minimum Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate will have experience working with NRx and will have prior experience in a non-retail or mail-order pharmacy. Candidate must hold a valid and current Pharmacy Technician license. We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record of successful team participation, as well as the ability to work independently with a keen eye for precision. Must be able to act with sound judgment and a high degree of confidentiality, prioritize and coordinate multiple complex tasks with frequent interruptions, while meeting strict deadlines with a high degree of accuracy. Problem-solving, logical reasoning, analysis, strong written and oral communication skills, and a high level of computer proficiency are essential to the success of this position.
