I was on the sales side and they offer zero training on how to do your job effectively. No point in asking supervisors as they also didn't know. Anything learned is on your own or Googled. If deals were brought in that were more complicated than what direct supervisors were familiar with the deal would get passed on. Other departments were unfamiliar in basic day-to-day banking questions and no one knew who to speak with.
