As our Customer Service Specialist you will be the liaison between the Loan Officer/Processor and the Mortgage Bank team. You will provide excellent customer service reviewing, auditing and communicating the status of loan files through the bank processing system. You will also be responsbile to meet all mortgage regulatory requirements.
Maintain and manage incoming submissions by logging and creating new records for each application consistent with the filing system and assigning to the appropriate Underwriter
Complete data entry for each file following procedural checklists and maintaining data integrity
Update all files with new information and forward incoming documentation to the appropriate Underwriter
Respond to status calls and emails from Loan Officers and Processors throughout the process per the service level agreement
Receive, review and validate each incoming closing document requests and update files for completion and accuracy
Assign the loan file to the Closer to prepare loan documents and update Loan Officer/ Processor
Assist in additional assigned tasks as directed by Management
High school diploma or equivalent, 1+ years of experience working in a professional environment including mortgage, commercial or consumer loan processing
Fundamental knowledge of lending processes and regulatory requirements
Track record of handling confidential material in a professional, ethical manner
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and proprietary financial systems
Refined interpersonal communication skills interfacing with a variety of levels of team mates
Demonstrated collaboration and organizational skills working towards team goals and expectations
Ability to work independently on routine activities
Flexibility in schedule to work over time hours when business necessary
