Good starting job. Retail.
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Glen Burnie, MD – May 22, 2013
Nice as a job for after school for students or a beginning job. Learn basic skills like interacting with customers, using a cash register, and keeping inventory. Store manager was always present and working with co-workers was pleasant. Everyone got along well. Most enjoyable part of the job was talking to the customers and helping them out.

fun place to work
Assistant to Buyer (Former Employee), Anaheim, CA – May 11, 2013
Pros: reputable company
Cons: too many temps, alot of promises but nothing delivered
good people, too many temps working there. I got this job thru an employment agency as a temp position looking for an opportunity to become a full time employee which never happened and there were no benefits.

Fun place to work with great values
Full time assistant manager (Current Employee), McKinley mall – May 9, 2013
Pros: great management, constantly looking for new ways to impact out business, great energy, gsom lifestyle
Pacsun is the best company I have ever worked for. They provide every tool you will ever need to succeed and solve for yes within your store. If you need any help, support services is there by your side for any situation. They provide product knowledge, to really be able to speak to brands and build outfits in the fitting rooms. Constantly having contests – more... within our company and with customers to really get a feel for the California lifestyle and show that Pacsun is much more than just your average store. We have customer segmentations that give us a better understanding for not only our customers but to be able to relate to anyone who walks into our store. I am so lucky to be a part of such a great district. Everyone is full of passion and excitement for Pacsun! every day i get excited to go to work and do what i love most and I couldn't see myself working for any other company! :) – less

Fun place to work!
Brand Rep (Former Employee), Chambersburg, PA – May 2, 2013
A typical day at work at Pac Sun as a Brand Rep involves greeting people who enter the store, attempting to sale as many items as possible to those people, following sales guidelines/strategies provided by the manager, being friendly and conversational with the customers, informing customers what promotions and sales may be going on at that time, and – more... ringing customers out when they are ready. My coworkers at Pac Sun were a lot of fun to work with, and the environment was very laid back and not stressful at all. The most enjoyable part of the job was probably meeting the people who came in the store and finding out more about them while selling merchandise. – less

Great job!
Sales Representative (Former Employee), Providence, RI – April 30, 2013
Pros: long breaks, good work environment, good discount
Cons: folding too much clothing
This job was awesome. I made some amazing friends working there who I still speak with today and it's somewhere that I wish I was able to work again. They did a great job working with my school schedule (I was very young when I worked there) and always showed me the true value of working hard. Also, my manager Tim was really good at what he did and – more... valued his employees. – less

Really cool culture, but not beneficial for development and growth
Assistant Manager (Former Employee), Texas – April 27, 2013
I worked at PacSun for just over 2 years, in the beginning there was excellent management who took their jobs seriously, but the company started to push out the old upper level management in hopes of gaining a fresher perspective and the transition lead to turnovers throughout the company. The newer managers that transitioned in seemed not to take their – more... job as seriously and the integrity of the store started to fall apart. Soon after I followed my old store manager to his new company.

With all of that being said, I will concede that my experience with Pac Sun was nearly 3 years ago, so it is possible (and likely) that things have changed considering they are no longer shutting down stores. – less

Not a pleasant place to work at all
Picker (Former Employee), Olathe, KS – April 16, 2013
Pros: nothing
Cons: worked past breaks then givin shortened breaks, extremely hot in summer, lousy pay, dishonest management about job security
Job was not enjoyable at all. Was hired as a temp and worked hard everyday. They wouldn't hire temps for permanent positions and fired us to bring in new hires before we could receive benefits and raises.

Dynamic Environment with Enthusiastic Coworkers
Sales Associate (Current Employee), Merrimack, NH – April 8, 2013
The most frustrating part of the job is some of the pretentious, unappreciative customers I have had the unfortunate displeasure of meeting.

The most enjoyable part of the job are my enthusiastic, laid-back, hard-working coworkers, who have taught me to step back and chill for a minute.

Productive and fun workplace
Sales Associate (Current Employee), Elizabeth, NJ – March 20, 2013
Cons: too many employees, not enough hours for a job paying every two weeks.
Depending on what day it is a typical weekday is just changing the store around and making sure everything is up to par. On the weekend it is a different story. The store is just filled with customers its very busy but goes by fast. I learned how to do shipment , size clothes , use the cash register , communicate with the customers. Management is okay – more... its only two so their busy with their work. I'm glad we were trained well because if not the store would be a mess. My co-workers are cool , we all enjoy our job. There is no hard part my job is easy , i have fun doing it. The most enjoyable part of the job is helping customers. – less

Fun summer job
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Silverthorne, CO – March 15, 2013
Pros: working with friends, discount on clothes
Cons: not enough hours per week
On a typical day it was my job duty to assist customers in the retail business. I learned how to interact with customers. The managment team provided us with direction. I worked well with my other co-workers and we worked as a team. The hardest part of the job was not getting enough hours per week. The most enjoyable part of the job was being able to – more... work with my friends. – less

Manager (Former Employee), Shreveport, LA – March 1, 2013
Pros: good benefits
Cons: not enough pay
A lot of tasks kept you busy. Good policies in place for a solid work life balance although the pay seemed discouragingly low even for retail. Great co-workers, but most employees were very young. No angry customers, company gave resources to resolve customer issues at the store level.

Productive and Fun environment
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Roseville, CA – February 25, 2013
Pros: good team atmosphere, fun management
Meet/Greet customers at entrance, assist customers in selling shoes and clothing apparel, stock shelves in back, help fold and clean up mine and others areas. My co-workers were all very awesome and made for a fun work place. The hardest part of my job was folding clothes for hours, and the most enjoyable part was when i got to interact with customers.
