Joining PHCA as a Clinical Assistant, you will be an integral part of the patient care team. The Clinical Assistant will be responsible for performing patient check-in and check-out, front/back desk activities including the telephones, scheduling appointments, obtaining authorizations, collecting patient demographic and insurance information, chart preparation, and a variety of routine administrative, clerical and technical support services which will assist medical and nursing staff. Qualified candidates must have 1 year of work experience, preferably in a medical office. Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9 and CPT coding and billing regulations, and experience working in a medical office are preferred.
Must have excellent communication, problem solving and customer service skills, good computer, prioritizing and leadership skills, along with the ability to meet deadlines, work independently and manage multiple priorities with ease.
