Worked there a couple of months. They put me on a trimmer on the most critical line in the building with absolutely no training. I was expected to run that machine like a veteran and keep up the pace.
I worked my heart out the entire time I was with the company but, since I had no training or experience and was trying to run the most demanding machine in the building.
They told me I wasn't fast enough and terminated me.
They should have terminated the supervisor who put me on the machine. Instead of putting an experienced operator on it. The union members didn't want to run it and it became my job.
Following week. I was put on shrink wrapper. Again,no training or experience and was expected to just walk up to it and go.
I also feel I was discriminated against because of my age and nationality.
I think if you're younger then me and a "minority"You'll have a better chance of getting in the safety of the union.
The minority's with the same seniority that hacked up many pallets of expensive paper incorrectly.Never lost their job and they actually did get some training.
If you get an opportunity to work there.Try to avoid being put on a machine without being trained or you may get the same treatment I got.Unless you're a minority.
