Operator B (Former Employee), Canandaigua ny –
They preach quality but it's all about quantity and u get in to trouble if your numbers are off even by ten cases. Ok pay but they ask u to do more and more for the same money.

Very Comfortable atmosphere
Assistant-Purchasing/Maintenance-Parts Assistant (Former Employee), Bridgeview, IL –
Pros: free lunches, could talk to management about any concerns, a place that makes you want to be there everyday
Cons: no health benefits as a temp, and wasn't able to be hired on permanent.
I would have to say that for Pactiv being a Temporary position, I truely loved working there out of all of the positions in which I have held in the past. I learned alot from the management there to better myself and help better their company. I wish that they were able to hire me on as they said they would have loved too. The company got bought out – more...  and downsized positions in turn meant couldn't keep a temp on still either. Great group of people to work with. – less

Productive and interesting work
Machine Operator (Former Employee), South Portland, ME –
Pros: free eight o'clock coffee and a safety bonus.
Cons: profanity and constant surrounding negativity.
Through my 4 and a half years there I have found that Pactiv rewards their employees very well for the hard work that they do. They do expect a lot and they are very demanding but as long as you work hard than you will get far. I performed a lot of different tasks while being there so it's hard to describe a Typical day at Pactiv. Co-workers? Easy to – more...  get along with and friendly for the most part. Most enjoyable part of the job? Receiving safety bonuses, free coffee, summer bar-b-ques, holiday pot luck lunches for Thanksgiving, and a free Thanksgiving turkey every year. Hardest part of the job? Nothing. Once you learn how to do the job it's all smooth sailing from there. – less

Productive Company
Packer (Former Employee), Covington, GA –
Pros: work schedule
Cons: twelve-hour shifts
The companhy produced styrofoam containers from major restaurants via the use of machinery. I operated the manufacturing machinery and packaged the containers in sterile material for distribution. The standing for long periods of time was the hardest part of the day. The most enjoyable part of the day were the long breaks for lunch and rest-ups.

Production Supervisor (Former Employee), Huntersville, NC –
A typical day at work for me was to insure that all lines stayed up and running. If somethings was to happen and we were not able to resolved the issue. We had a support team to call for assistance.
For my Co-workers they excellent always showed up and ready to work Had to put employees in a rotation to volutary take time off during slow seasoning.
There – more...  was not anything that was hard about my job. – less

Inside sales/Customer service (Former Employee), Glens Falls New york –
Pros: traveled, trade shows, positive reinforcement from management, bonus incentives twice a year
Cons: new item numbers, lead time mandates, customer complaints on quality, customer returns and credit requests
worked with wonderful people, enjoyed my job very much, but the company had already changed hands once, and was up for sale, didn't feel like there was much security there. They were cutting back and moving jobs to different areas in the country, so I decided to find something more stable. I did well there though and had very strong working relationships – more...  both inside and outside of the office. – less

B Operator (Former Employee), Winchester, VA –
Pros: good break schedules
Cons: reynolds bought out
I enjoyed working here. There was always something new to learn. It was challenging and rewarding. I always felt like I was treated as a person and not just a # until the end... Reynolds brand bought the company and laid off at least half of our workforce.
