Pros: fun atmosphere, amazing co-workers.
Cons: managing artists.
A typical day at work started with returned emails and voicemails to customers to set up and confirm events, class reservations, and private parties. This was followed by inventory for the bar and for canvas and paint and ordering replacement stock, and making sure that our Facebook page posts were schedule for the day promoting our classes. I cleaned, restocked, and made sure the studio was in working order, and set up for the evening's class. I then checked customers in for class, took photos for Facebook, and made sure the class ran smoothly. My closest co-workers were the owners, and they were spectacular and easy to communicate with. The hardest part of the job was attempting to be empathetic with staff while maintaining a bottom line and standard of excellence. The most enjoyable part of the job was seeing customers leave incredibly happy and creating relationships within repeat business.
