About Palo Alto Medical Foundation
The Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) is a not-for-profit, multi-specialty physicians group providing medical and outpatient care mostly in the San Francisco Bay Area. It operates through three divisions serving distinct geographical areas: the Palo Alto Medical Clinic and the Camino Medical Group serve Silicon Valley and the East Bay; and the Santa – more... Cruz Medical Foundation operates farther south, in and around Santa Cruz. An affiliate of Sutter Health, the organization has some 1,100 doctors covering dozens of medical specialties; its facilities also provide outpatient surgery, diagnostic imaging, and women's services. Additionally, PAMF houses a Research Institute that performs medical research.

Operations
The medical foundation operates more than 50 medical centers, including primary care clinics, surgery hospitals, urgent care centers, and physical therapy and weight management clinics. Specialty care services include pediatrics, neurology, gynecology, and oncology.
Strategy
In 2011 PAMF launched a Sutter application allowing patients to access their medical records on the go; the program is dubbed MyChart; the MyChart program was already available to patients via personal computers. – less
